Publisher Description
Why was this book written? I chose to write this book for three reasons. First of all, I would like to inspire you with a strategic approach to lean, instead of doing project, which are focused on implementation of selected tools. Secondly, I am really annoyed with the way lean is treated, and I want to deal with all the myths concerning this subject. Thirdly, I dream of a situation where people willingly come to work, and where companies have excellent results, at the same time. What is this book about? This book is not about lean. This book is about how to become LEAN. Lean strategy brings to a company a purpose of existence, belonging, influence, trust and conscious leadership among its managers. It strengthens the autonomy and responsibility of individual employees, and ultimately provides an everyday feeling of collaborative winning. This is my strategic approach to lean. Lean Strategy consists of two parts. The first is to help you understand the problem. What are the great five business pathologies? What situations damage companies from the inside? How is lean perceived, and what is it really? I have included in this part many stories from companies in which I had the pleasure of carrying out transformations. The second part of the book is a kind of manual. A compendium of practical knowledge on how to conduct the strategic transformation of a company in five steps, how to achieve the five target conditions, and thus how to get rid of the pathologies described in the first part of the book. You will learn how to bring about a situation in which everyone consciously implement the company’s strategy, while at the same time identify and eliminate waste. Book includes: • Content full of stories, anecdotes, inspiration, management techniques • 2 parts / 10 chapters summerizing 15 years of lean experiments • 100+ drawings, tables, charts, illustrations • Several dozen examples of transformations from various industries • Album with over 40 photos
