This book has all the gory details of Cheney’s nefariousness, his determination to invade Iraq regardless of the fact that we knew Hussein did not have WMD, his determination to tell the world he did anyway, his elevation of action without reason or evidence to support it to policy, his insistence on corrupting the CIA and FBI and national security council to his ends, again regardless of fact etc. etc. And that’s not even to mention how truly defenseless he knew the country to be against any real threat of terrorism — either from loose nukes, or easily planted chemical weapons, or whatever.
