“I listened to this book because it is part of my college alumni book club. I was pleased when they chose a nonfiction book since that is my preference. Douglas Preston weaves in ancient history, recent history, and current politics to tell the story of finding archeological ruins of an extinct civilization in Honduras. It is an excellent way of providing context while still keeping the current story moving forward. I looked forward to each chapter during my commute to and from work. Unfortunately, it was marred by Bill Mumy mispronouncing words throughout the narration. Each mispronunciation was unexpected, and caught me like hitting a pothole while driving. It was disappointing and distracting. If you can ignore those flaws, then the audiobook is worth it. ”
